If you’re looking for a low-beach, oceanfront beach cottage to get away from it all…….look no further! Our home is located on the northern Oregon Coast in a little community called Tierra Del Mar, which means “Land of the Sea”. We are 3 miles north of the town of Pacific City, which is half-way between Tillamook and Lincoln City. We have approximately 5 miles of beautiful, flat, sandy beach with Cape Lookout, Sandlake and a salt water estuary at one end and Cape Kiwanda (a great climb) on the other. So sit back, enjoy the view, surf our site and plan a relaxing get-away!
This fabulous home was built in 2002. It definitely has that beach look and feel, but without the wear and tear of the older homes. As you enter our home you step into the open living, dining, and kitchen area, with a wood-burning fireplace, leather, queen-size sofa sleeper and 2 leather swivel recliners. Since YOU will be making the reservation, feel free to let the rest of your party know that you get one of the “primo” ocean-viewing chairs. Relax and recline with a cup of coffee in the morning, a fire going in the background, a little mood music on the stereo, feet up and gazing out at the incredible surf……while someone else cooks you breakfast! (Does it sound like I’ve had practice?)
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and utensils for 8, coffeemaker, teapot, blender, griddle, toaster, pots, pans, bowls etc….plus a gas BBQ in the garage for your grilling pleasure. Everything you need to cook a gourmet meal, unless you’re really relaxed…..then there are take-out options as well.
As you move on through the downstairs, you will find the main bathroom (tub & shower) and a bedroom with 2 twin beds, a beautiful view and TV, DVD/VCR and games.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with a king size bed, TV, DVD/VCR, more ocean views, a reading nook and a bathroom with double sinks and a shower. There is also a laundry room located upstairs for your use, and yes even that has a wonderful mountain view.
The garage is single car with additional space on the property for 3 other vehicles. For your enjoyment as mentioned previously, there is a gas BBQ, patio table and chairs and some comfy Adirondack chairs………perfect for sitting on the deck with a cup of tea, a warm blanket and a beautiful sunset. A word about the deck: if the wind is blowing from the north and it’s not raining, there is a fantastic little spot to pull up a 
chair and watch the ocean with the house acting as a wind barrier. We’ve caught some serious sun out there.
Before we purchased this home we were beach goers at least 3-4 times per year. We have tried to make our home as well stocked as possible for your enjoyment and convenience. The only things that you need to bring are your own beach towels, firewood and a calling card for the phone. There is very limited cell phone reception in Tierra Del Mar.
