Ocean ViewIf you’re looking for a quiet place to do nothing…….you’ve found it! If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with a lot of nearby activities, you’ve found that as well.

As mentioned earlier, to the north approximately 2 miles is Sandlake. This is the spot for riding ATV’s on the sand-dunes.

The estuary is a great place to fish, crab or kayak (B.Y.O.K.). You can drive about 7 miles farther north and rent a boat and fishing or crabbing gear in Netarts.

To the south 3 miles you can hike Cape Kiwanda. This is also THE surfing spot in Oregon….don’t forget your board! You can also rent boards, boogies and wet-suits in Pacific City. One of the fun things to do in Pacific City is to watch the Dory fleet come in. Check with the locals. There is a small market and a little larger store for groceries there, as well as a few cute shops and galleries to browse through, a library, video store, post office and coffee shop.

Only a thirty minute drive to the Lincoln City Outlet Mall. If I don’t mention fishing some more, my husband will shoot me. There is the Little Nestucca, the Big Nestucca, the Trask and the Wilson rivers and probably more that I’ve never even heard of.

Did I mention golf? There is a course about 6 miles south in Neskowin.

Now, about that take out food, for those of you who don’t want to cook on vacation: Doryland Pizza, Pelican Pub & Brewery, Riverhouse (the place that makes the great salad dressings that you’ll find in the refrigerator section of your grocery store and no I’m not getting paid to say that) Grateful Bread – bakery and restaurant.
